Bonjour! I’m Summer Whitford, the Food and Wine Diva and my motto is: “Dine Well. Live Fully. Travel Often.”

For those of you who know me–and those who don’t–I admit it, this blog is a vehicle for the shameless promotion of my prose.  Not wanting to miss out on the whole blogging thing, I started Delicious Prose to exercise my writing muscles and write about the Div-ine things I’ve found, seen, heard, cooked, and tasted.

Just like my book, Join Us At The Embassy, this blog is filled with cool things about Afghanistan, Austria, Chile, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kenya, and Portugal–and many other places as well.  For some helpful information on the countries featured in my book, you”ll find links about each country, embassy, their food, etc. on my Embassy & DC Links page.

The art of living well is not about spending a lot of money, it’s about seeking pleasure in the moment, no matter what your means.  A true food and wine diva never falls prey to the idea that finer means exclusive, posh, or expensive.  They know quality and value when they see it–even if they’re in a dollar store.  More importantly, they know how to find all of life’s tasty bits and share them with others.
